About the Company

The foundation of Landqvist Mekaniska was established back in 1929 in the form of a local blacksmith shop. Since the late 1950s, a large part of the business has consisted of contract manufacturing within various industries such as shipbuilding, paper, and automotive. Today, the company works for about 20 customers across Sweden and also engages in some export. Our products can be found in a wide range of sectors including trucks, transport handling, boats, process industry, and more.

With over 70 years of experience in metal processing for the industry, automotive, and construction sectors, we have gained extensive experience in machining. Our cornerstones are to use modern technology combined with skilled and motivated personnel. This ensures that we can offer our customers what they expect from us in terms of quality, delivery reliability, and the right price.

Located just outside Nossebro, we employ just over 30 staff in various roles and responsibilities.

Job Description

Landqvist Mekaniska is now looking for an engaged employee for its workshop to work as a bending operator. You will be responsible for CNC-controlled bending machines and will also perform other workshop tasks such as eccentric presses, making this a fantastic opportunity for you who want to develop in a dynamic and technically advanced environment.

As a bending operator, you will work with bending sheet metal according to drawings and customer specifications. You will also be responsible for setting up machines and programming to ensure correct production. Your tasks will also include maintenance and care of machines and tools.

Working hours are from 07:00 to 16:00. You will be hired as a consultant through NearYou, but for the right person, there is an opportunity for direct recruitment by Landqvist Mekaniska.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to work with bending and enjoys the workshop environment. A good foundation for the position is education from an industrial program or equivalent knowledge. To fit the role, we prefer that you have previous experience in bending, good skills in reading drawings, and experience in measuring products, but with the right attitude, there is an opportunity to learn the profession on-site. A forklift license is a plus.

It is important for us that you have a technical interest, a curiosity to learn new things, and the ability to make independent decisions as you work autonomously in your role. For you, precision and quality are a given, as well as keeping your workplace organized. The ability to drive your own work forward and good collaboration skills are also important qualities.
